- Place the blueberries, chopped basil, honey, and water into the blender.
- Blend on high until the mixture is smooth, with the blueberries broken down and basil fully incorporated, about 30 seconds.
- Add the ice cubes to the blender and pulse a few times to start crushing the ice.
- Continue blending until the mixture is thick, slushy, and evenly icy, about 20-30 seconds. Stop and check the texture.
- Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a little more honey, then blend briefly again to combine.
- Scoop the blueberry basil slushie into glasses, garnish with a few basil leaves if desired, and serve immediately for the best icy freshness.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
